Hayes, Herrin and Beach the big winners at on Mid-Ohio’s Honda Super Cycle Saturday
Team Graves Yamaha’s Josh Hayes and Ben Bostrom, of Pat Clark Motorsports, battled to a close finish on Saturday’s AMA Pro National Guard American SuperBike race at a hot and muggy Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. At the checkered flag it was Hayes by 0.219 seconds over Bostrom in on of the better races this season. Tommy Hayden rounded out the podium finishers, taking third on his Rockstar/Makita Suzuki, five-seconds behind the leaders. The victory moved Hayes into a 10-point lead in over Hayden (260-250) in the standings.
It was a drag race to the finish in Daytona SportBike by AMSOIL. Josh Herrin’s Graves Yamaha R6 had just enough power to hold off DNA Energy Drink Ducati 848 mounted Bobby Fong. M4 Monster Energy Suzuki’s Martin Cardenas finished a close third, just 2-10th of a second back.
J.D. Beach dominated the AMA Pro SuperSport race, winning by over 20 seconds on his Rockwall Performance Yamaha R6.
