Martin had background in motocross and karting before coming into motorcycle road racing. He won a number of WERA National Sprint titles as well as a being part of a slew of WERA National Endurance Championship with Team Suzuki Endurance. Today Martin is still involved in the sport as an instructor in the Kevin Schwantz School.
