Keith Carlson leads a group of riders in a WERA E Superbike/Formula 3 combined race at Blackhawk Farms in August of 1984. Carlson is listed on a Suzuki 400cc bike. It almost looks like a dual sport bike converted for road racing. Carlson leads Lawrence Iles, on a Honda 350, Brian French on a rare Suzuki RG250, and I also see on the white No. 77 bike Tim Freeman, who raced a Honda 125. Carlson finished second in the E Super expert class to Lance David and French easily won the novice race.

    Ed,

Sorry if that comment was lost. I get so much spam sometimes my filters take out comments and I miss them. Yeah, there was no chicane back then. This was the turn right there at the back of the pits where everybody used to watch from.

Oops! I have trouble keeping track of my comments. At least it was the same turn before the chicane was added.
