Dan Wade races his Suzuki GSXR750 just ahead of Brian Lantz in a WERA B Superbike race at Putnam Park in July of 1993. Wade went on to finish third in the race behind Eric Smith and Lantz. This was Wade’s first year as an expert and the Hoosier native turned in some solid podium rides as a rookie expert. Interestingly Wade teamed with Lantz and Mark Junge the next year in the WERA National Endurance Series to form Competitive Edge Racing. The squad finished third overall in the 1994 championship. Wade then raced endurance with Ohio Superbike for a couple of years before retiring from racing in ‘96. He made a brief comeback in 1999 before hanging up his leathers for good.
