Novice racer Stevie Patterson (No. 141) beat all other D Production racers into the first turn during this WERA sprint race at Grattan Raceway in May of 1986. Following Patterson through turn one is Andy Fenwick (No. 747) and Jerry Washburn (No. 381). It appears most of the field here are on Yamaha RZ350s. Fenwick went on to win the race, Washburn topped the novice class. Fenwick went on to win the WERA D Production National Championship later that year.
