Jake Johnson won a wild Springfield Mile today. It was nearly dark, there were black clouds and lightning in the sky and the track was crazy rough, but Jake figured out the puzzle, passed Jared Mees coming down the home stretch and can now count himself as a Springfield winner. That’s the biggest race win to have on your resume if your a Grand National rider.
The rained-out GNC Singles Springfield Short Track will run early Monday afternoon with qualifying starting at 10 am.
